Strategic Plan 2023-2027

In February 2022, at the inaugural meeting of the Grovedale Neighbourhood House Steering Group, the newly formed group of community representatives identified that strategic planning should be a priority for the Grovedale Neighbourhood House. This decision was made due to the previous Strategic Plan having expired in 2019 and the realisation that a strategic approach to recovery following 2 years of COVID-19 restrictions was needed.

To undertake the strategic planning process the group determined that funding would be sought to engage a facilitator to conduct a community engagement project. The project would seek input from the community on key areas of GNH operations to inform the development of the new strategic plan. In March 2022 a grant application was submitted for the City of Greater Geelong’s Neighbourhood House Grants (Round 2) Program for the Shaping Your Neighbourhood community engagement project and in May 2022 advice was received that the grant application had been successful.

In July 2022, independent facilitator, Jen Lilburn of Kismet Forward, was engaged to facilitate workshops with community, key stakeholders and the Steering Group. The workshops were held during September and October 2022 and a survey was also made available for community to provide input.

Feedback gathered  throughout the consultation process has been used to develop the Grovedale Neighbourhood House Strategic Plan 2023-2027.
